After a long day of cleaning out ruined family memories and removing wet sheetrock from a humid and hot house filled with mold, water in every drawer, and stinky black sludge — the absolute last thing any of wants to do is worry about where we are going to eat. Finding something to eat is one less thing we have to worry about thanks to all of the wonderful selfless “Angels” who have come to Port Aransas after Hurricane Harvey to cook and hand out supplies.

And those “Angels” come in all sizes. Meet Cannon, who is learning at a young age what it means to help people. Cannon and his family were grilling chicken and making beans today.

The chicken was incredible, but the beans were better. Thank you, Cannon!

Young Cannon stirs a pot of beans larger than he is.
